About Me

Welcome to my little corner of the internet; my journal, my hearth, and my stage.

My name is Grace Armstrong. I’m a singer-songwriter, bard, writer, and lifelong artist with roots in theater, music, dance, and visual storytelling. I believe in the quiet power of beauty, truth, and goodness, and I try to weave those things into every song, poem, photograph, and reflection I share.

This site is where I gather fragments of a life deeply lived:
Songs and poetry from my soul.
Thoughts from my kitchen table.
Stories that burn slow and deep.

You’ll find essays on art and culture, lyrics and plays in progress, moments from my desert life, and little glimpses of the mystery I try to live with open hands. I’m a (soon-to-be) Catholic, wife, mother, barefoot wanderer, and backyard philosopher. I write like I sing- with reverence, rhythm, and a small touch of rebellion, (left over from my wild and contumacious youth).

I’m married to my best friend, mother to an extraordinary daughter, and most days I’m out walking in the Sierra Nevada wild spaces with my dogs, and with a new song playing in my mind. I love strong coffee, silence, old books, black-and-white photography, and animals of all kinds, especially the kind that nap in sunny spots (and sleep when I am trying to record- a daily challenge!).

If you’ve found your way here, welcome.
Linger a little. There’s room at the table.
